Bowers’ Family Home

Chambers’ Family Home

 Our Builds

Habitat for Humanity - Coosa Valley would like to welcome our two new partner families. Through many blessings over this past year, we have been given the opportunity to help not just one, but TWO deserving families build their forever homes.

When asked, what does a Habitat home mean to you and your family, Macy Bowers (left with her children Talia and Talynn) said, “This Habitat home will be a sense of stability and security for the girls and I. We will finally have something that we know is ours for a lifetime. I’m so grateful because I honestly did not think it would be something I would ever be able to obtain for them.”

When asked, how will this opportunity impact her life and her children’s, Shanice Chambers (right with her children Jerahmiyah and A’Nijah) said, “Just the news of being selected in the partnership elated them. I feel that this will show my children that they can do anything they set their minds to. Your never too old and it's never to late to make accomplishments in life. This will be a chance for them to create their own comfort place. I have wanted nothing more than them to have their own rooms, a place they can call theirs and this has given me a chance at doing just that.”

Shanice will be building her home in South Rome.

Every parent, every person, should have the decent shelter they need to thrive. The families who partner with Habitat to build and improve places to call home come from a variety of backgrounds and are selected from Chattooga, Floyd and Polk Counties.

Please join us in celebrating the Bowers and Chambers families. If you are interested in helping support our new partner families as a house sponsor or volunteering on the build site please contact our office at 706.378.0030 or email us at habitat@habitatcoosavalley.org.
